A Different Opinion
A closer look at the Denver Airport Murals (by a friend)
Hi Christine.

I wanted to tell you about what I thought about the painting and what I found out be researching a little.

First I started looking at the painting with as much of it's detail as possible before reading the story so that I would not be too prejudiced.

This is what I saw: I think if you go back and look at it with a different thought in your mind you may have a different conclusion this time.

When I look at the pictures of the women in caskets and everything that seems to be going on I see the world the way it might go if people don't stop destroying it. I see the penguin and another bird in cases that show that they are precious as in a museum but also that they are now probably extinct.I see Burning of forests, which actually goes on very much. So much of the tropical forests have been burned to make way for farming and these farms are not good for long because of an erosion problem.

I also see another tableau with the huge soldier wearing gas mask and weilding both sword and gun. Slashing through the dove which of course if the symbol of peace. I see this as showing the devastation of war and it's effects.

But then I get to the most revealing and important tableau of all. The one with all the children. Where they say it shows that everyone is giving this little german boy weapons. If you look carefully you will see that the hammer he is using is to break the sword of the soldier we saw before. This soldier is now black (for death) and is laying under the sword on the ground. There are 2 birds (doves) of peace now sitting upon the soldier. The children are all smiling and I believe they are bring the tools of destruction from their homes to be destroyed and to be replaced with peace. In the sky over the children's heads we see a rainbow. A symbol of a better day. I think that ,to me, the painting plainly says, The future of our world is in our children's hands. They are the ones who will make sure that peace reigns , finally.

Now after I did this then I read the fantastic story. To start with I would think that the first thing he would have talked about was the aliens for god's sake. Instead of all the possibilities he sees in this painting and oh yeah, and besides all the things I have been saying, I saw the aliens too!
I think if he would not have gone overboard on many of the things he wrote that maybe I would take him more seriously. I also think that if a very secret organization like he says exists , well, they would have to be a tad unintelligent to go around
painting their plans on the walls of a very public building.

Then I said to myself , well, now I have what I think , what the person thinks and now I need some info about the author etc., Ok, maybe he is a German that has links to the Queen and everything then I will relook at all the pictures and maybe believe the story.

What Do I Find.

Well the painter whose name is Leo Tanguma is a Chicano Artist so he is just about as far away from Germany and England as I could get. And I don't think the neo-nazis would appreciate someone with a darker shade of skin painting their murals for them. I doubt it very much.
am going to cut and paste some things that I found here.
I hope you don't find this e-mail long and boring. LOL

CHILDREN OF THE WORLD DREAM OF PEACE

artist: Leo Tanguma

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Children of the World Dream of Peace consists of a series of three diptych murals for this Baggage Claim area. These murals will depict children in folkloric or national dress from diverse areas of the world in a universal quest for peace. Each individual Diptych will include one mural that shows children in situations of tragedy and devastation and a companion mural depicts harmony and peace. Mr. Tanguma's companion piece is a second mural for the southeast hallway which will reflect War and Violence and its effect on the children of the World. Images within the mural include several local area children who were victims of violence. It was dedicated in October and installation at DIA is now complete.

ARTIST BIO: Leo Tanguma is a Chicano artist-activist who has created murals throughout the country, generally with the help of local students and volunteers. His innate social consciousness characterizes his vision as a human being and guides him as an artist.

ARTIST QUOTE: My mission is to emphasize human dignity in all people, preserve the heritage of Chicanos, and most importantly, to stress the ideals of love, respect and justice.

So then I continued my search. I found an article that I copied by forgot to save and I am not sure which site I got it from now but the gist of it was the following.

That after the interview the Denver Airport received tons of calls and people asking questions. Especially about the levels under the airport and if they were keeping children there to be eaten by aliens. Well seems there are levels under the airport in that area. It is in the baggage area. And that is where the bags come in and get sorted. How about that?

Also saw that the airport has many, many different art shows going on there. All having to do with diverse cultures etc., One only has native american Indian Art. Why would they allow them to do that if they were plotting to take over the world and wanted to get rid of Indians also??

I also found the following saying that it is not a plot for aliens for for taking over the world but a new religion that falsely makes us believe that the world could ever live in peace.

Look at the following....
Clearly and distinctly the true thrust of modern worship is portrayed. The message of the new temple is painted clearly on its walls. The murals painted by Leo Tanguma are the theological expression of the symbols of this new religion. Strangely, the new world religion resembles certain Christian sects. If one receives literature from the Jehovah's witnesses, one might see pictures of the new kingdom with smiling children lying in fields of grass with the beasts of the field all happy and peaceful in the new world bliss. Most all professed Christians today have the theory that soon the earth will be filled with peace and joy as the new millennial order takes power and brings peace and freedom to all men. The murals teach that we are moving to a new order in which innocent, loving children are destroying all the implements of war and national separation and the dove of peace will hover over us all. And also ..... then it really gets out of hand. ......THIS>......

THERE IS NO PEACE OR SAFETY

The "peace and safety" message is clear in the DIA murals. All of the people have this hope that the world will soon enter its millennial dream where there is no persecution and everyone lives happily ever after. If one looks closely, however, the murals take on a most chilling reality. If one will look closely and seek to understand the message of these murals, he will see that they paint a wondrous but deceptive picture. One of the striking messages of the murals is that children are the ones bringing the transformation about and not adults. President Clinton, one of the spokespersons of this new religion, takes every opportunity to express the sentiment that he is trying to save the world for the children. Children are pictured as the innocents and the noble leaders, while adults are pictured as the ghoulish monsters who have ruined the world. The only adults in the murals may be seen few in number and in the background, except for the mural depicting the ruined earth. There the adults are either starving or being destroyed by the Nazi-looking monster with a gas mask. He is the most obvious adult. Strikingly, in all the murals there is not one elderly person depicted. What happened to them, or, what is being planned for them?

Certain questions beg answers. In this new world, where do all the children come from if there are no adults? Are they cloned? And when these children begin to mature, what happens to them? Are they recycled so that there are no elderly remaining? Why is it the murals depict hundreds of loving, noble, happy children beating the world's swords into plowshares, yet no mommies or daddies are involved in this. No, the mommies and daddies are the ones responsible for the mess and the doctrine states that the children will fix it. It is a child portrayed as beating the swords into plowshares. It is children who are overthrowing the evil kingdom set up by their parents. It is children who bring armloads of weapons to the block wrapped in national flags all to be beaten out of existence. It is true that these powers intend to disarm their enemies and do away with their national identities, but it is not the children doing this. This does not come from the dominion of innocence. It comes from the throne of deception. Not only are the nations being overthrown as depicted, but the family is going along with them to oblivion. The child is being made the god while parental authority is mocked. The parents are the evil force which has ruined the earth. While this may be true, the lie is that children are not participating in the great evil. Children have been made into the New World Order gods.

If one will give these images and symbols some real mental appraisal, one finds the doctrine false. Does not one ever consider that Adolph Hitler was himself a child playing in the grass? Was not every sexual predator in government or outside of it also a child at one time? If one truly considers children, is it not children who must be trained? Do not children get caught behind the garage doing everything from sexual experimentation to smoking dope? Do not children come out of the womb screaming their little heads off and do they not get furiously mad when they do not get their way? Are not children caught lying, stealing and coveting the possessions of others just as much as is the president of the United States? So, where is the innocence so graphically portrayed by the artist who placed them there? Children are not innocent. They are the same monsters who grow up and are able to express their perversion as we can see so often these days in the highest offices of the land. Adults have one advantage over children in practicing their perversion and that is that they have learned the methods of deceit and how to carry deceit out quite effectively, while children pretty much let it hang out as it is. A young child may simply express his rage while adults hide it and get revenge in a less obvious manner. Adults know how to gas churches and starve nations under some professed noble cause. If children were in control, they would carry it out more obviously but it would still be carried out.

The DIA murals depict the theories which were expressed in the communist revolution. The speeches often were filled with references to the children as is heard so much these days from American leadership. Pictures were painted on walls with children whose arms were full of flowers and whose hearts were filled with joy and peace. Of course, th ese murals lied and simply expressed the false doctrine so many now imbibe in our own country these days. The DIA murals did not intend for us to see all of this, but we can see all if we will. That hideous monster portrayed as a destroyer of the earth in these murals is the one who is now destroying the earth and multitudes of professed Christians are holding hands with him. It was he who burned out the Davidians. It is he who has starved the Iraqis. He is the one who slew a mother at Ruby Ridge, though the story goes on that we are working for a world full of loving children where purity and innocence rule.

So...What do you think,,,,,,THREE HOURS LATERS SHE ASKs..............

As a finale...I think that a painting that innocently wanted to show how the world was and how it could be, Of course we all know little children will not be picking up the weapons and bringing them in, but I also know that they are not quite the evil monsters that this guy seems to sse. It is like the John Lennon Song, Imagine. That was a beautiful dream and not a plot to take over the world with a new religion.

Also, the artist next project is to paint a mural that depicts children overcoming the drugs in the street. I am just imagine what some people will make up about what they see in that one. Of course all this controversy is quite good for the artist. Because good or bad, it brings the spotlight on him.

Now , I can just see you Christine, in my mind's eye, with the idea in your head of never, ever , again sending me to read something like that page.

Sorry if THIS is just TOO MUCH!!

*smiles* Anyways, if you were bored and had nothing to do , It probably killed a little time.
